We currently operate one boat. We sold our smaller boat to acquire a larger one that more suited our
mission.  Our current boat is a 1992 21' Zodiac Hurricane RHIB with a 225 h.p. Evinrude  E-TEC motor
and a stand-up helm. The boat is equipped with a variety of water rescue equipment and is configured
to accommodate a Stokes litter w/backboard.  The normal crew is three to four persons trained in
surface water rescue.  We use the boat to cover public events and for safety and rescue coverage of
boat races as well as searches for drowning victims.  We can provide mutual aid in support of dive
operations.

now fully operational.  It is an ongoing project
that will be mostly completed in the summer of
2008.  More pictures to come as the project
progresses.
Surface Water Rescue

Arkansas ESAR has a Surface Water Rescue training program that is based on the NFPA standard.  We train
the membership twice per year and offer this class to outside agencies in our area. Below is a link to the
PowerPoint Presentation and syllabus that we have developed for this class.  Feel free to use the
presentation and/or syllabus.  Please contact us if you have any suggestions or additions to this syllabus.
